Roy Keane has established himself as one of the most popular commentators currently on television.

One thing which has stuck with the former Manchester United midfielder is his bitter rivalry with Arsenal‘s Patrick Vieira.

The pair butted heads during their time battling at the top end of the table for their respective sides with both offering their clubs the midfield general role.

Who Roy Keane said was better… Cesc Fabregas or Patrick Vieira

Keane is currently out in Germany part of the ITV Sport team covering this summer’s Euros.

Fabregas has also found himself over in Germany as he contributes towards BBC Sports’ coverage of the tournament.

However, the Spaniard may want to look away when it comes to who Keane said who better between him and Vieira.

Speaking to The Overlap’s social media team, Keane was tasked with choosing between two selected players.

When he had to decide between Fabregas and Vieira, Keane went with his old foe and claimed Vieira was the better of the two former Arsenal players.

However, the former Arsenal midfielder only lasted one more round with Keane picking him over Antoine Griezmann.

But he was then eliminated from the game when Keane went with former Italy defender Paolo Maldini.

Patrick Vieira shares Roy Keane admiration

Of course, there were some heated interactions between the pair including that argument in the Highbury tunnel back in 2005.

But when asked who was his toughest opponent, Vieira recently admitted that Keane and the other United midfielders were right up there.
