Roy Keane names the Manchester City player who could stop Arsenal from winning Premier League title

Roy Keane has given his verdict on whether Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.

The Manchester United legend has named the City star who could break Arsenal’s hearts.

So, what has Roy Keane said about Arsenal and Manchester City? Let’s take a look.

Roy Keane on Kevin De Bruyne affecting Arsenal vs Manchester City title race

Well, Arsenal won in the Premier League this past weekend, while defending champions Manchester City could only draw.

The Gunners beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

On Saturday, City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, played out a with Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal are now at the top of the league table with 39 points from 17 matches. The Gunners are a point ahead of Liverpool and Aston Villa, who are second and third respectively in the standings.

City are fourth with 34 points from 17 matches, but Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes that the Citizens could still win the title if Kevin De Bruyne hits the ground running when he is back from injury.

De Bruyne is on the sidelines at the moment. He has not played since the opening game of the season. The £55 million () Belgian midfielder is , but he is not yet training with his teammates.

Keane said on : “I find it hard to write off City, but there certainly is a dip. The result over the weekend was, you know, when you are 2-0 up and you think City certainly won’t slip up.

“I think Pep has mentioned fatigued, obviously they are away for a couple of weeks. The only thing my hopes are for Man City, I think, De Bruyne.

“I think if De Bruyne comes back and hits the ground running, he will be a huge difference, but if it takes him a while to get up to speed and if City do slip up and they don’t win the league, then to me Arsenal.

“Rice has come in, a bit of physicality, yeah, listen, injuries, you could say that for lots of teams, but I would be pointing towards Arsenal.”

Don’t forget Liverpool

While it is easy to get carried away with Arsenal, let us not forget Liverpool. I believe that Jurgen Klopp’s side have as good a chance as Arsenal or Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool are quietly and steadily picking up points and are very much in the hunt for the title. They also have a very strong squad.
