Ronaldo Vieira reacts to Kalvin Phillips’ Instagram post as Leeds win
Former Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira was amongst those to reply to Kalvin Phillips’s post on Instagram after the Whites’ 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have moved back five points clear of the chasing pack in the Championship. Mateusz Klich scored the game’s only goal at the end of the first-half.
It was a fixture Leeds were expected to win.
But with both teams having plenty to play for during the remaining months of the season, the Whites would have been wary of the form book being thrown out of the window.
And the visitors did come under plenty of pressure at the Riverside Stadium.
However, that pressure rarely resulted in Boro creating an opportunity. And Leeds looked fairly comfortable at the very end as they looked to see the contest out.
The victory was all the more impressive because Leeds were without Phillips. The midfielder did not recover in time after being taken off against Reading at the weekend.
But Phillips still seemed to play his part. The 24-year-old went over to the away fans after the game to celebrate the victory.
And he took to social media after the game to comment on the win…
