Fabrizio Romano that Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Mikkel Damsgaard later this week.

Another exciting link

Tottenham have been linked with Damsgaard tentatively through the summer so far.

Romano does that Spurs are not on the verge of signing the Danish winger, who shone at Euro 2020, but the journalist feels that Tottenham could make their first move for the Sampdoria man in the next few days.

“Damsgaard is not something imminent, but it could be a possibility later in the week,” he said.

Tottenham have already added Bryan Gil to their attack this summer and if they were to land Damsgaard their forward line would start to look really exciting.

Quality attack

With the likes of Dele Alli, Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn already at the club, Nuno would have serious competition for places behind the striker of Damsgaard was to arrive.

The appeal of signing the tricky winger, who is valued at £30 million () increased hugely after Euro 2020, where Damsgaard was one of the stars of the show.

Damsgaard was Denmark’s star man as they reached the semi-final, with the youngster scoring twice and being labelled as ‘phenomenal’ by Kasper Schmeichel ().

The problem is that Damsgaard’s displays are likely to have raised his value considerably, and that could be a problem for Tottenham in a transfer window where they are already set to spend big on Cristian Romero.
