‘Liverpool are waiting’: Fabrizio Romano says FSG are in the race to land ‘extraordinary’ player this summer
Liverpool might have thought they were out of the race for Aurelien Tchouameni, but the Reds mꦑight still have some hope when it comes to the midfielder.
Reports have suggested in recent dඣays that Tchouameni has more or le🍎ss decided to join Real Madrid. The Frenchman is one of the most in-demand midfielders in Europe thanks to some excellent performances for Monaco.
However, while Liverpool might be wary of Madrid’s int𒉰erest, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has said thatജ the Reds are still lying in wait to see what comes of Tchouameni’s potential move to Spain.
“Discussions are frequent also these days, because Liverpool know that Tchouameni has given priority to Real Madrid, but the negotiations between the Spanish club and AS Monaco are still ongoing and will contin♑ue,” Romano wrote in his column.
“Liverpool are waiting. PSG 💖are also attentive to developments to understand how Real Madrid will use this advantage. This week will be very important for the Tchouameni deal.”
Tchouameni, who has been by fellow Frenchman Paul Pogba, appears to be definite🔜ly on the move. However, while Madrid are en๊ticing as European Champions, Liverpool do need a midfielder for next season.

The big man is everything you want in the modern day midfieওlder. He has power, bit in the tackle, and good ability on the ball as well. He’s 🉐at a young age, and seems suited to the Premier League.
Should Madrid fail to get a deal over the line quickly, then Romano’s comments 🃏about Liverpool waiting in the wings make things interesting. In terms of the ideal signing for the Reds and Jurgen Klopp, Tchouameni is the one.
Liverpool will need some refreshing this summer. The midfield is ageing, while Sadio Mane is leaving. Making the right transfers, then, is vitꦡal for Klopp and FSG.
