‘Advanced talks’: Fabrizio Romano has just provided the very latest on Raphinha’s potential Leeds exit
Leeds United and Raphinha might well end up parting ways this summer but according to Fabrizio Romano, the Whites are making life very difficult.
Raphinha played a crucial role in helping Leeds stay up this season. His performances were often at a level above his teammates and he smashed in a crucial penalty on the final day at Brentford to help Leeds to a vital three points.

However, reports have continually linked Raphinha with a move to Barcelona, while Newcastle have also been credited with holding an interest in the Brazilian star.
But while there is a feeling Raphinha might end up leaving eventually, to provide and update and insists Leeds are still playing hardball. Predominantly, the Whites are refusing to accept less than £50m, and with that, they don’t want it paid in installments or bonuses.
Of course, this isn’t the biggest update ever from Romano, given he said a similar think just a few weeks back. However, it does seem to indicate that Leeds are standing their ground, something which will please the Elland Road faithful at least.
deal in 2020. The Whites stand to make a healthy profit should he be sold this summer.
TBR’s View: Leeds Need To Get The Best Fee Possible For Raphinha
There is a sense of inevitability when it comes to Leeds losing Raphinha. It’s good to see them digging their heels a bit and at the end of the day, they need to get the best deal they possibly can.
Barcelona’s own financial problems means they’ll be trying their best to do things to suit them. That will probably mean small payments over a long period of time. Leeds need to shun this sort of offer, and get cash up front.
