But Roca may not be the only Bundesliga midfielder to end up at Elland Road. Of course, some may be expecting Adams to be a target for the Whites.

Jesse Marsch managed the 23-year-old at New York Red Bulls and Leipzig. He previously suggested that Adams has the potential to be a ‘‘ player in the future.

Romano was asked about whether he thinks Adams will leave the German side this summer. And he went on to suggest that Leeds are one of the sides looking at a possible deal.

“Yes, my feeling is yes. My feeling is he’s going to leave the club this summer. At the moment, there is still nothing agreed with any clubs. You mentioned clubs interested, and of course, it’s normal. Many clubs are exploring this possibility, including Leeds,” .

Leeds exploring Tyler Adams deal

Adams would be another decent signing for Leeds. He predominantly played as a holding midfielder this past season. But he is also capable of playing anywhere on the right flank.

That versatility would see him fit in well in the current Leeds ranks. Brenden Aaronson can take on a number of roles going forward, and Rasmus Kristensen is also comfortable at right-back or right wing.

He is not yet the finished article. So much will depend on how much Leipzig want for Adams. And obviously, Leeds and Leipzig have a bit of history on the transfer front.

But he does have potential. So plenty of Leeds fans will be keeping an eye on what happens with the USMNT international in the coming weeks.
