Romano says club have just made bid to try and hijack Tottenham move for Dragusin
Fabrizio Romano has suggested that there has been a late twist in Tottenham Hotspur’s bid to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
Radu Dragusin has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham for some time now with Ange Postecoglou looking to bolster his options at centre-back.
And it seemed that he was edging closer to moving to North London. In fact, reports on Tuesday claimed that Dragusin’s agent had flown in to try and push a move for the defender across the line.

However, there appears to still be work to do before Tottenham confirm that the 21-year-old has joined them.
According to Fabrizio Romano on , Bayern Munich have now confirmed their own interest in the defender with a bid.
Bayern Munich have now bid for Tottenham target Radu Dragusin
In fact the offer is slightly higher than the one from Tottenham, though it would not see any players move in the opposite direction.
Clearly, there is life in the race still. However, Romano added that Spurs continue to be hopeful that they will be able to finalise a move for Dragusin in the coming days…

Nervous wait for Spurs
Missing out on the youngster would be a massive blow for Tottenham. Spurs have had to deal without Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero at various points in the season. And without them, their defence has looked more vulnerable and less assured.
Dragusin is Postecoglou’s top target in that area of the field. And he will be desperately hoping that Bayern’s bid ultimately comes to nothing.
Unfortunately, the transfer window does see some dramatic twists. So Tottenham fans will inevitably be concerned about the prospect of Dragusin ending up in Bavaria.
But the encouraging news is that Tottenham remain hopeful that they will win the race for the former Juventus man. Perhaps this latest news should act as an incentive for Spurs to push as hard as they can to finalise a move.
