‘Work in progress’: Fabrizio Romano says ‘superb’ Liverpool player is currently working on leaving
Transfer guru and journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has said that Liverpool striker Divock Origi is on the verge of moving to AC Milan this summer, with a deal apparently a ‘work in progress’.
Origi is expected to finally bring his stay in Liverpool to an end after failing to agree to fresh terms with the Reds. It means Origi is free to move elsewhere and take on a fresh challenge, with AC Milan said to have been the front runners for a number of weeks now.

And according to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update, the deal to take Origi to Milan is currently in the offing.
Taking to his account this morning, Romano provided an update on Milan in general. And within that, he put in a line about Origi’s potential move to the San Siro.
Of course, Origi will leave Liverpool something of a cult icon at the club. He’s won the Champions League and Premier League, and scored crucial goals despite never being a regular. Indeed, Alan Shearer even labelled Origi as ‘superb’ for his impact with the Reds.
TBR’s View: Origi A Liverpool Legend
Sometimes, a player is a legend of the game not because they are the best player, but simply because of moments in their careers which have defined their time at that club.
Origi has had so many of those moments. His late winner against Everton, the goal against Barcelona, and the winner in the Champions League final, just a few of his big days.
Of course, he’ll be keen to prove himself with Milan and become a regular. But Origi will certainly go down in the Liverpool history books.
