Romano: Leeds’ Raphinha would be ‘more than’ keen on Barcelona move
Fabrizio Romano that he has been told that Raphinha would be more than interested in joining Barcelona, but insisted that there are still no talks underway with Leeds United.
Leeds face a massive few weeks. They have boosted their hopes of staying in the Premier League by beating Norwich City on Sunday. It was Raphinha who set up the winner after taking the ball round Tim Krul brilliantly.

The Brazilian is certainly going to have a massive role to play if Leeds are going to keep themselves in the Premier League. The downside of that, obviously, is that may only increase the interest in him ahead of the summer.
Raphinha has been absolutely vital for Leeds. Romano previously suggested that Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea all wanted the winger. He did note that Barca had spoken to his agent Deco, but talks with Leeds had not begun.

Romano has now provided further information about Raphinha. He suggested that the 25-year-old would be very keen to move to the Nou Camp.
“Barcelona, they have a great relationship with Deco, he is actually even working with the club and he’s really close to Laporta. He’s the agent of Raphinha. So this is why the relationship is great,” .
“Raphinha could have some exit clauses in his contract in case Leeds go to the Championship. So it depends on Leeds, this is why there is no negotiation on the clubs’ sides. But Barcelona are really interested in Raphinha. And from what I’m told, the player would be more than attracted to Barcelona.”
Barcelona move may be best option if Leeds become resigned to Raphinha
Leeds supporters will hold out some hope that they can keep Raphinha for one more year should they stay up. But clearly, their resolve to hold onto the former Rennes star will be tested this summer.
For the fans, it is simply imperative that they receive a huge fee for Raphinha. Replacing him is going to be an incredibly difficult task.
But clearly, if Barcelona and Liverpool offered similar amounts, it makes more sense for Leeds to sell Raphinha to the Catalan giants.
His departure will be a lot more painful for the Elland Road faithful if he joins a Premier League rival at the end of the campaign.
