Roman Burki says he would love to play with Tottenham star

that he would “love” to play alongside Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. Given that Spurs are seemingly looking for a goalkeeper, could Burki be the answer?

Kane, 25, scored the only goal of the game as Tottenham beat Burki’s Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night. It was a comfortable 4-0 on aggregate to push them into the last 16 of the Champions League.

Speaking after the match, Burki said that he Kane is a player every club would “love” to have in their team. The England captain has now amassed 23 goals and six assists in 35 games this term.

“I think if we would have scored one goal in London the situation would have been completely different. In the end that is football,” . “Harry Kane is a beast. A player every team would love to have.”

It seems as though Spurs are looking to sign a new goalkeeper. Ajax stopper Andre Onana and Lazio’s Albanian goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha have been linked with the north Londoners in the past week.

That is after Hugo Lloris made another calamitous error against Chelsea in the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. Although he did atone for his error against the Blues with a penalty save against Arsenal, doubts remain.

Spurs fans are fed up with their club captain and are keen to see a new goalkeeper brought in. One that is more reliable and has years at the top of his game on side.

Step forward 28-year-old Burki, then, given that he wants to play with Kane. He has 58 clean sheets in 160 games for Dortmund, conceding just 178 goals – impressive stats.

Burki is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in European football. Signing the Switzerland international would be an enormous coup and would certainly end the odd error, in which Lloris is at fault for.
