Rolando Aarons refuses to give up hope of reviving his Newcastle United career
Winger Rolando Aarons is currently out on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in League One but has refused to give up hope of playing in the Premier League again with Newcastle United.
As , Aarons, 23, has said he moved to the third tier on a temporary basis in order to get back playing football again and believes he can get back into the big time.
He : “I’m not afraid to take a risk. I could think: ‘Do you know what, I can’t be bothered with this, I’ll stay with the under-23s, just chill and earn money.’ But that’s not the sort of person I am. I’m not in this for money; I want to actually be a top player.
“In the long term I want to be a Premier League player and if that happens at Newcastle that would be perfect for me because I’ve come through there. It’s a great club, I love the club and the fans are great there.”

TBR’s View – Aarons has the attitude and the time to get back to the top flight
Aarons lost his way at Newcastle and when that happens, it’s easy for fans to sneer at the idea that a young player may still make good on their potential.
But 23 is no age for a player to be written off really and his comments show that he has the mindset and desire to do exactly that.
Playing in the EFL is better than wasting away in the bench or just playing age group football and Aarons will hope to make the most of the rest of the season.
