Roca and Bravo laud Leeds’ Joel Robles in reaction to training video
Both Marc Roca and Claudio Bravo have lauded Joel Robles in reaction to the Leeds United goalkeeper’s from the training ground marking one month with the Whites.
Joel arrived at Leeds in early August to provide further cover and competition for Illan Meslier. The 32-year-old had previously been a free agent after leaving Real Betis earlier in the summer.
Of course, his time with Los Verdiblancos saw Joel work alongside Bravo. The Chilean joined the club in 2020 following spells with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City.
And it seems that Bravo was impressed by what Joel has now posted on Instagram.
In the video, Joel can be seen working through a number of drills alongside Kristoffer Klaesson. Obviously, the two are both vying for the understudy role behind Meslier. Meslier does emerge later in the video.
Joel posted the video to mark the end of his first month with the Whites. And there was praise from the likes of Bravo, as well as Roca, who lauded his countryman…

Jesse Marsch will probably hope that he does not need to use Joel at any stage. Meslier has started the season in brilliant form. And a future change would suggest that something has gone wrong given the Frenchman’s potential.
Perhaps a chance in the Carabao Cup or FA Cup could come at some stage. But it does appear that all parties are aware that Joel’s main purpose to push both Meslier and Klaesson.
And obviously, his presence could help the two young goalkeepers improve. He has all that experience at the highest level.
And he has worked with greats such as Bravo along the way.
