Roberto Carlos provides instant reaction as Liverpool draw Real Madrid
Roberto Carlos has provided instant reaction to the Champions League draw which has thrown up a quarter-final clash between Liverpool and Real Madrid .
It will be the first meeting between the two teams since the final in 2018 when Los Blancos ran out 3-1 winners in Ukraine.
That game was marred from a Liverpool perspective in the 22nd minute when a clumsy challenge by Sergio Ramos ended Mohamed Salah’s night.

He left the field visibly distraught holding his shoulder and was forced to watch on as his team were beaten.
Naturally, supporters are hoping to see the Egyptian get one back on the Spanish legend but Carlos has suggested a struggle for the Liverpool man.
“Salah is not even going to get close to Ramos. It will be an action that is going to be talked about a lot. The first game for Real Madrid is at home and that’s their moment. They must decide the tie at home.”
Salah has tried to lead Liverpool through stormy waters of late and his performance levels have largely been good.
He has scored 25 goals this season and although the team’s title defence is down the drain, they’ll still fancy doing well in the Champions League.
TBR View: Ramos reunion with Salah looks mouthwatering
The battle between the two players looks set to recommence and this time they’ll get to square off against each other twice.
That makes for a beautiful subplot in a tie that promises to be an absolute cracker.
Both sides have flattered to deceive at times during 2020/21 and both will view the Champions League as a good chance to lift a trophy.

Something seems to click at Liverpool when the famous Champions League music hits and they’ll hope to find something when the competition resumes.
Naturally, Salah and Ramos will both play down their next meeting but deep down the Liverpool star will hope to come out on top of the Spain defender and help his team prevail.
