Robert Pires believes reported Tottenham Hotspur target Eduardo Camavinga should stay at Rennes
Tottenham Hotspur have recently been linked with a potential move to sign French wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga next summer.
the £54 million rated midfielder is considered a potential target for Spurs next summer when they look to further improve their midfield options.
However, one former Arsenal legend is firmly of the belief that Camavinga should not be going anywhere next summer.
Robert Pires was talking to Spanish publicationwhen he was quizzed on the topic of Camavinga potentially joining Real Madrid. The former Arsenal star made it clear that his belief is that the Frenchman should remain at Stade Rennais for the foreseeable future.

“He’s only 17, eh?,” The Invincible queried. “My opinion is that he should stay at Rennes for another couple of years to keep on developing, and then go to a top club like Madrid or Barça, or whichever he chooses.
“It’s too early for him. If they can, Rennes should try to keep hold of him.”
Tottenham are unlikely to be alone in any pursuit of the teenager next summer.
Every top club across Europe will be hoping to get their hands on the player, including Real Madrid.
The hope from the Tottenham camp will be that the presence of his current national team captain in Hugo Lloris, as well as fellow countryman Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko might convince Camavinga that a move to Spurs is the perfect option.
Or, as Pires has suggested, the youngster might decide it is still too soon to be making such a big move.
