Rio Ferdinand says we’ll ‘hear more about’ £30m attacker on Tottenham radar
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Roony Bardghji in recent weeks.
Spurs are one of several top European clubs eyeing the 18-year-old FC Copenhagen winger, according to a report from Danish outlet in December.
Tottenham and their fans would have hoped to see Bardghji in Champions League action on Tuesday as the Danes hosted Manchester City.
Sadly, if there were any Spurs scouts in attendance, they’d have been disappointed as the youngster was an unused substitute in the match.
Nevertheless, Bardghji has still made enough of an impact to get his name out there.

This has led to clubs circling, transfer speculation doing the rounds, and pundits discussing his talent and future.
Rio Ferdinand, speaking on ahead of Copenhagen’s meeting with Man City, spoke about the reported Tottenham target.
“He’s got a name already, he seems accustomed to that. He doesn’t seem fazed at all,” Ferdinand said.
“Whenever I’ve seen him, he comes on, he looks like he should be there.
“He wants to be there; he’s got the ability. I think he’s going to be a name we’re going to hear more about.
“This is the type of night where he will want to announce himself even further than he has already.”
Tottenham target Roony Bardghji likened to Lionel Messi
Despite being just 18 years of age, Bardghji has shown that he’s a cut above in the Danish top flight. With that in mind, links with Tottenham are not surprising.
The Sweden Under-21 starlet registered 11 goals from 30 outings in all competitions last term, and 15 goals and one assist from 71 appearances for Copenhagen.
‘s Jacek Kulig published a scouting report on Bardghji in 2021 which declared him to have 10 out of 10 ‘world-class’ potential.
Kulig also likened the left-footer to Lionel Messi and deemed him “extremely dangerous on the counter thanks to his electric pace and acceleration”.
Prior have suggested that Bardghji has a £30million price tag, which would make him the Danish Superliga’s record sale.
Links between Spurs and the player are exciting, so let’s see whether anything develops in the coming months.
