‘Ridiculous’ Tottenham target subject to £17m offer from Galatasaray
A rumoured Tottenham transfer target is reportedly subject to a £17m bid from reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray.
The north London side have seen their activity in the market slow down as of late having signed Archie Grey last month, though Tottenham remain interested in the likes of Federico Chiesa as Spurs prepare to return home from their pre-season tour of Asia.
With Tottenham looking in good form heading into the new Premier League season, a few more signings could be enough to push Ange Postecoglou’s side into prime contention for a UEFA Champions League spot.
Yet competition for one signing is now starting to pick up.

Galatasaray launch new bid to sign Tottenham-linked Scott McTominay
According to , Galatasaray have made a €20m (£17m) bid to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, with the reigning Turkish Super Lig side keen to lure the Scottish international away from Old Trafford.
Tottenham have been strongly linked with a move for McTominay this summer, with the 27-year-old midfielder recently enjoying his best year yet for the Red Devils as the United star also played a key role in Scotland’s qualification for Euro 2024.
Labelled as ‘ridiculous’ by Fulham star Tom Cairney, McTominay could be a perfect fit for Tottenham in the midfield for next season, with Spurs in need of a dynamic no. 8 who can do a job in all areas of the pitch.
However, with Galatasaray beating Tottenham to a bid for McTominay, time is running out for the north London side to sign the Scottish star, with the midfielder good enough to star for a top Premier League side.

Spurs need to make a late play to sign McTominay
McTominay heading to Galatasaray after his best season yet in the Premier League feels like an unusual move, with the midfielder having a few more years left in his career before a move to Turkey should be considered.
And for Tottenham, they need to consider a move for McTominay in the coming weeks, with the United star ticking a lot of the boxes Spurs are looking at when it comes to landing a new midfield signing.
With Galatasaray’s offer of £17m being considered, signing McTominay won’t break the bank for Tottenham, and the 27-year-old midfielder could enjoy life under Postecoglou in a more free role compared to what the Scotsman will be doing under Erik Ten Hag.
