Richard Keys urges England to appoint Liverpool legend after Gareth Southgate departure
Pundit Richard Keys has suggested to the FA that a Liverpool legend is appointed as the new manager of England after Gareth Southgate’s departure.
The Three Lions boss this week announced his departure from the position after guiding England to a second successive Euros final, with Southgate’s side again falling shor🐬t of silverware, extending the years of hurt to 58.
With Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe the eaꦯrly favourite to replace Southgat💦e as England manager, the positio♕n could quickly become one of the most sought-after in foot🔯ball given the current generation the Three Lions have on their books.
Yet Keys has suggested that a Liverpool ꧙icon could be the dream appointment for England🌜.

England urged to move for former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
Taking to Twitter, the Bein Sports pundit made the left-field suggestion that Jurgen Klopp should be approached for the England job, with the German manager currently a free-agent after leaving Liverpool at the end of last🅷 season.
Keys posted: “Southgate should’ve gone after WC. He waste🧔d 2 gilt-edged shots at Euros🌟. Wembley was set up to win. Now we need someone to put fire into the bellies of these ‘nice’ players. Not a clone. Get Klopp. He’s the best out there.”
Already contacted by the 🍨USA over their vacant manag🍃er role♔, the prospect of Klopp taking over at England remain close to zero given that the Liverpool legend seems intent on taking time out from football after nine🎐 years at Anfield.
Moreover, given the options England already have on their shortlist, it seems clear that the Three Lions are heading in a different direction and style of play than wౠhat Klopp can offer, despite the former Liverpool man’s obvious successes.

England chasing after Klopp is a hopeless endeavor
There’s no denying that Klopp wouﷺld be an incredible England manager, with the former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund coach one of the best in the world on the touchline and a figure that will get the Three Lions to give it their best.
However, as weꦰ know, Klopp is set on taking a break from football after nine years at Liverpool that saw the German manager win almost everything there is to win as a Premier League manager.
And for England, chasing after Klopp💧 would be a 𒊎foolish endeavor given how much money and time would be wasted discussing with someone who is likely to say no to the proposal.
