Rhian Brewster renewal could be one of Liverpool’s best value deals this summer
There is superb news for Liverpool fans as Rhian Brewster has decided to put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield, committing his future to the club with his first professional contract.
That’s according to the with adding that Brewster turned down offers from German clubs, including the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig, to remain on Merseyside.
The 18-year-old now looks set to be given a first team role in Jurgen Klopp’s set-up for the first time after an ankle ligament injury at the end of the 2017/18 campaign robbed him of an opportunity as the German rotated his attacking line-up.

With the four Ds of Divock Origi, Danny Sturridge, Dominic Solanke and Danny Ings all failing to convince in the role of fourth striker behind Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
As such, it looked to be a high priority on Jurgen Klopp’s shopping list this summer. Now that Brewster has signed up and committed his future to that role, he looks set to be the solution. It’s unlikely he’ll handle such a role on his own, but he will undoubtedly be given a substantial amount of game time in 2018/19.
On much lower wages than a new signing would likely have commanded, Brewster taking up the role could be a calculated gamble from Klopp. So highly rated, he may feel that it is worth being patient and persevering with the youngster, hoping he can have an instant impact to give his side another push.
If the Reds’ front three can stay injury free for another year, it could be a wise move. If not, then Brewster will be given a unique opportunity at an elite club, just the kind of experience that one of England’s brightest young talents needs.
