Rhian Brewster says Liverpool have an ‘unbelievable footballer’ who Klopp has barely ever started this season
Rhian Brewster has been picking an all-time XI of players he’s played with and has included Liverpool defender, Joe Gomez, as part of his back four.
Brewster left Liverpool in a big-money move for Sheffield United but has struggled to make a huge impression. He was kicking into gear this season, though, before injury robbed him of the rest of the campaign.

However, that hasn’t stopped the Blades striker taking part in his off-field and media duties. Indeed, Brewster was speaking to the this week about players he has played with, and he put a few of his former Liverpool teammates in his best XI, including Gomez.

Despite Brewster’s glowing praise of Gomez, the defender could actually leave Liverpool this summer. He is said to be of interest to Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard, who is looking for a new centre-half.
Brewster, meanwhile, is preparing to cheer on his current team in the Championship playoffs this weekend as he eyes the chance of coming up against Liverpool next term.

Obviously, Brewster goes with a few players here who he considers good friends in the game. However, it’s easy to forget how good Gomez is as well.
Because he is at Liverpool, he is often overlooked due to their sheer strength in defence. But there is a reason Gerrard wants him and there’s even been talk of Jurgen Klopp wanting to give Gomez a new contract.
If Villa can land Gomez then they’ll be getting a fine Premier League defender. Of course, Liverpool will want him to stick around is possible, but Villa and Gerrard could prove tempting.
