Reports suggest Loris Karius is Hertha Berlin bound

It appears that Loris Karius’ next location could already be lined up, according to reports in both Turkey and Germany.

The goalkeeper recently terminated his loan spell at Besiktas due to unpaid wages. Karius will not return to Merseyside, instead he will head back to his native Germany until the end of the current season.

That report goes on to claim that Liverpool will then look to move Karius on with a Bundesliga return ‘possible’. They name Hertha Berlin as an interested party.

, in Turkey, has gone one step further.they suggest that Liverpool already have an agreement in place with the German capital club for Karius to become their new goalkeeper on loan.

It would make perfect sense. Liverpool have a good relationship with Hertha, having previously sent the likes of Allan and Marko Grujic to the club on loan.

As for Karius, he would be battling with Norwegian stopper Rune Almenning Jarstein for the number one jersey. Considering Jarstein is now 34-years-old and out of contract in 2021, Hertha may very well see Karius as a long term replacement for their stalwart stopper.

This seems like a deal that makes sense for all parties involved and hopefully Karius can find form, and a regular paycheck, at his next location.
