Reports suggest Everton want 12-month extension on Djibril Sidibe, Sevilla waiting
The future of Djibril Sidibe has been in the news this week, with reports in France suggesting both Everton’s plans for the player and potential interest from a third-party.
Sidibe joined Everton on loan last summer from Monaco and the World Cup winner has had a fairly impressive campaign with the Toffees.
New manager Carlo Ancelotti is clearly a fan, preferring Sidibe to club captain Seamus Coleman at right-back.
Everton have an option to buy clause in Sidibe’s loan deal, which is at a fee in the region of £12.7 million.

However, is suggesting that Everton are hopeful of agreeing a new 12-month loan spell with the French side, with the player keen on sticking around on Merseyside.
However, another team is also keen on the player.
that Sevilla are ready to make a move for the player. The report states that the Spanish side have been surveying the situation for some time and may rival Everton for Sidibe’s services.
Everton are well-stocked at right-back, with Jonjoe Kenny also set to return from a loan spell at Schalke, so many might believe the club is best off cutting Sidibe loose if indeed he becomes too expensive to pursue.
At which point Sevilla appear more than ready to step in and snap him up.
