Reports: Gleison Bremer open to Everton move, Toffees to make January approach

Torino defender Gleison Bremer is reportedly open to joining Everton in the next transfer window.

there is strong interest from the Toffees in the Brazilian, Carlo Ancelotti is supposedly a big admirer of the 23-year-old.

Bremer has been with Torino since the summer of 2018 after joining from Atletico Mineiro for around €6.5 million/£5.8 million.

The star has made 48 appearances and scored a respectable six goals for the club across all competitions.

It is stated by the publication that Fulham are also interested in Bremer, who is wanted to sign a new deal by Torino.

Everton’s link to a new central defender probably shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise – the Toffees have had problems keeping clean sheets this term having kept just one in the Premier League so far.

Bremer completing a switch to Goodison Park would see him become the fourth Brazilian to join the club after Richarlison, Bernard and Allan.

TBR’s View – Defensive reinforcements needed for Everton

Ancelotti’s side’s inability to keep clean sheets is a genuine worry, and so another central defender in could be the right course of action.

Bremer has been part of a struggling Torino side this term, but has largely been an impressive and imposing figure at the back for the club since joining in 2018.

If anything, getting one more body in could shake things up, and force the likes of Michael Keane and Yerry Mina to up their games.
