Reported Tottenham target Nelson Semedo set for new Barcelona deal following impressive form
Tottenham could be forced to look elsewhere for a new right-back as Barcelona are now preparing to offer Nelson Semedo a new deal, according to a report from .
The 26-year-old was expected to be among the players set to leave the Nou Camp this summer to raise some much-needed funds for the Spanish giants.

However, an impressive enough finish to the season for Semedo has seen the club have a change of heart, and they appear to be set to reward him with a bumper new deal until 2025.
The decision from Barca means that Spurs will now likely have to go shopping elsewhere as they look for new recruits. Spanish football expert Guillem Balague had that the Premier League side wanted Semedo.

But any move would appear dead in the water now, with Semedo likely to have a massive release clause inserted into any new deal, plus the fact he will no doubt play next season.
A shame, but there are plenty more fish in the sea for Spurs – TBR View
While it’s a bit of a body blow for Tottenham to see Semedo’s fortunes improve at the Nou Camp, it’s also not the end of the world either.
His form wasn’t exactly amazing prior to the last few months, so Spurs would have been taking a bit of a risk in signing him anyway.
Furthermore, Serge Aurier improved towards the back end of the season despite horrendous off-field circumstances. It could well be, then, that Mourinho sticks with the Ivorian heading into the 20/21 campaign.
