Reported Tottenham and Leeds target Robin Koch valued at £10.6m this summer

Leeds United or Tottenham Hotspur will need to pay a fee in the region of £10.6 million for Robin Koch this summer, according to reports. 

It was reported in March that Tottenham Hotspur had joined the race to sign the German midfielder when the transfer window opens. Area Napoli claimed that the 23-year-old is commanding an £18.5 million transfer valuation. 

Leeds United are also known to be keeping track of Koch as a potential recruit should they end up playing Premier League football next season.  Director of football Victor Orta revealed he had been scouting the German international

But Portuguese giants Benfica are also in the running for the 6ft 3in thoroughbred and that is where the latest report stems. 

that Freiburg want €12 million (£10.6m)for their general and that Benfica were still struggling to raise the funds for such a deal.

Ordinarily, £10.6 million for a German international would seem a bargain. But with the current global health crisis, frugality is set to be the king in the transfer market this summer. 

If Leeds were promoted, the bonuses involved could help them secure the player whilst Tottenham could potentially fund a deal by cutting some of their dead-weight. 

But, in March, the long list of clubs keen on Koch suggest an ‘intense’ transfer battle is around the corner. 

Tottenham and Leeds are likely to be a part of it.
