Reported Newcastle target Yannick Bolasie has £10m release clause in Everton contract
Everton outcast Yannick Bolasie has a £10 million release clause in his Goodison Park contract,
The Toffees paid a reported (BBC) £25 million to land Bolasie from Crystal Palace back in 2016 under Ronald Koeman, but he looks to have absolutely no place in Marco Silva’s plans.
Earlier this week, 90min that Newcastle will look to sign Bolasie – as well as his Goodison colleague James McCarthy – as soon as Steve Bruce is announced as the club’s new manager.
And now it has emerged that the Magpies can get the £75,000-a-week trickster () for 40 per cent of what Everton paid to land him three years ago.

For a club as frugal as Newcastle, £10 million would actually still represent quite a major outlay for a player who is now 30, has had serious knee problems and is bang out of favour at his current club.
In the grand scheme of Premier League spending, it’s not that bad a deal and if Bruce could get Bolasie back up to the level he reached at Palace, he could be a decent little signing.
But there are far bigger issues at St James’ Park than Bolasie right now – even he was to be a success, he would be nothing but a small sticking plaster at a club that needs major surgery.
