Report: ‘World-class’ player wants to join Arsenal; he could follow Vieira to the Emirates
Arsenal seem to be making good progress on the transfer front. Fabio Vieira is reportedly closing in on a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners are in need of bolstering their midfield. So if recent reports are true, they’re about to sign a high-calibre player.
However, the most pressing issue for Arsenal remains their front line. At present, the Gunners have just Eddie Nketiah as a senior centre-forward.

Gabriel Jesus remains a top target for the Gunners, and a report from The Telegraph suggests they’re very much on the right path.
Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of the Manchester City star, who in turn wants to join the Gunners.
Admittedly, the report claims Arsenal and City remain apart in their valuations of the striker.
However, there is ‘increasing optimism’ in north London that a deal will eventually be agreed.
The Telegraph article, alongside other recent reports, all suggest Arsenal are on the right track for Jesus.
Indeed, a report from claims City are ready to accept just £30million for the Brazil international.
If all goes well, Vieira will join Arsenal and Jesus could follow suit not long after.
Jesus, who City teammate Ilkay Gundogan has called “world class”, (), has won the Premier League four times.
He has 95 goals and 46 assists from 236 City appearances, plus 19 goals and 13 assists from 54 Selecao caps.
Young, talented and proven in the Premier League, Jesus would be a truly superb addition to the Arsenal ranks.
With the Gunners back in European football next season, the 25-year-old would be perfect to spearhead their attack.
