Report: ‘World class’ PL player who wanted summer Everton move is now available for loan
Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour is set to be made available for loan when the January transfer window opens.
It was reported during the summer transfer window that the Scotland international wanted a reunion with Frank Lampard at Everton.
reported that Everton want the Scotland international and that he is open to a move to Goodison Park to kickstart his career again.
Instead, he went to Brighton but before long, manager Graham Potter had left the Amex Stadium to go to the club he had just left – Chelsea.

Gilmour set for loan after failed Everton move
The are now reporting that Potter’s successor Roberto De Zerbi is now ready to send the midfielder out to get some gametime.
They say that Spanish clubs, including Villarreal are currently keen on the former Chelsea man, with no English sides mentioned in the report.
Lampard transformed Everton’s midfield in the summer transfer window but there is still room for more guile in there, especially on a low-risk loan deal.
Gilmour really got pundits and fans excited when he broke into Chelsea’s side but he has struggled to build on that and that has continued at Brighton.
John McGinn has called his Scotland international teammate but that is really just potential at this stage.
The move to the Amex Stadium looked a good one on paper but when the manager who signed you on deadline day leaves soon after, it is far from ideal for any player.
Lampard has worked with Gilmour before and knows how good he is and that could be just what the Scot needs to kickstart his career again.
