Report: ‘World-class’ Liverpool player surprisingly absent from training ahead of Tottenham clash
It’s becoming increasingly unlikely that Liverpool will play Naby Keita ahead of the World Cup break.
Injury and illness have meant that the Reds star hasn’t played since July’s Community Shield win over Manchester City.
Keita returned to full team training towards the end of last month.

However, according to the , the Guinea international couldn’t be seen in training ahead of this weekend’s match.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges head to Tottenham Hotspur on for their Premier League meeting on Sunday afternoon.
The Liverpool Echo also said the reason behind Keita’s absence from training is unclear.
They speculate that it’s possible he was undergoing an individual session, as was the case with Jordan Henderson on Monday.
However, have speculated that Keita could’ve potentially suffered another setback.
And with Liverpool managing Keita’s fitness carefully, they don’t believe he’ll be back by the time the Premier League breaks for the World Cup.
Has Keita already played his last game for Liverpool?
Keita is a ‘world-class‘ player who has impressed for Liverpool when fit, but sadly he’s had a terrible run of illness and injuries.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, you can’t help but wonder whether he may have already played his last game for the Reds.

Tottenham and Newcastle United have apparently set their sights on Keita.
If true, the Liverpool hierarchy may well decide to try and recoup a bit of money for him.
