Report: Wolves want Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Oli McBurnie, that Sheffield United are ready to sell the striker this summer.

Like many of his teammates, McBurnie has found this season incredibly tough. The Scotland international has scored once in 22 Premier League appearances for the Blades.

Relegation looks to be on the cards at Bramall Lane. , McBurnie is one those who could be sold when the window opens to raise funds.

The report suggests that it is Wolves who could make a move. It is claimed that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are prepared to pay £15 million for the 24-year-old.

Wolves apparently want McBurnie to come in as cover for Raul Jimenez. Of course, goals have been difficult to come by since the Mexico star sustained his injury earlier in the season.

TBR View: McBurnie links unlikely to excite Wolves fans

McBurnie’s record in the top flight is, on paper, fairly underwhelming. So you could understand if Wolves fans were not particularly excited about the links.

However, he is a player who scored 22 times in the Championship in his last year at Swansea. So he certainly has the potential to be a much more prolific goalscorer.
