Report: Wolves outcast Patrick Cutrone switches agents, set to switch loan club as well

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in need of a striking reinforcement this month amid Raul Jimenez’s skull fracture injury. However, it appears that one of their loanees will not be tasked with the job.

Patrick Cutrone is something of a forgotten figure at Wolves. The Italian striker struggled to settle at Molineux following a £16 million move in 2019. That was despite being highly rated by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

“His characteristics, he’s a fighter, and we appreciate it,Nuno in October 2019. “He’s been working very well for the team.

“He’s a player that brings a lot of energy when he goes on the pitch./span>

Last January, Wolves negotiated an 18-month loan option with Fiorentina for the player. The deal initially contained a mandatory purchase clause but Cutrone’s agent had that removed recently in order to help him receive game time.

That did not appear to help and now Cutrone is set for a change of scenery.

Cutrone has ditched his former agent for a new representative and a move to Sampdoria remains on the cards.

that Torino and Napoli are also keeping tabs on the situation with Cutrone with Sampdoria’s number one target remaining Brescia forward Ernesto Torregrossa.

It is clear that Cutrone will be hoping to find himself a new home this money where he can hopefully end what has been a disappointing 18 months since leaving Milan for Molineux.

Wolves will just hope that at the end of his next loan spell they can get back a decent sum of the money spent on this disappointing piece of transfer business.
