Report: Wolves identify replacement as Tottenham ready £34m bid

that Wolves have found their replacement for Adama Traore, as Tottenham ready a £34million bid for the Spaniard. Nuno Espirito Santo wants to raid his old side for Traore. Now, they have received a boost as Wolves have identified a replacement – in Valencia’s Goncalo Guedes.

Traore, 25, has enjoyed the best form of his career under now-Tottenham gaffer Nuno. During 2019-20, Traore had a hand in 18 goals – scoring six and creating 12. But last season, his form coincided with Wolves. His power and pace, and potential, is yet to be fulfilled. Tottenham are keen on Traore.

The report states that Tottenham are readying a bid, with Wolves requesting a fee of £34million. But Tottenham could find they have a boost in their pursuit of Traore with Wolves now looking at Guedes as a replacement.

Traore to Tottenham, Guedes in, is hardly good business for Wolves

Yes, Wolves would make a profit. Valencia want between £21.25million and £25.5million for Guedes. It would see Wolves bank themselves around £10million. But Guedes is hardly as good as Traore. In 137 outings for Valencia, he has scored 23 and created 24 more.

But the Portugal international has been used up front just as often as out wide. The winners in this scenario would be Tottenham. Judging by Sunday’s performance, Traore would fit right at home in Tottenham’s team. Signing him for £34million is a bargain and one Spurs must take up.
