Report: Wolves are now confident that ‘very good’ manager will be their new boss within days

Wolves are now moving closer to a sensational return for former manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno left Wolves at the end of the 2020/21 season, 🔯moving to Tottenham for a short-lived, ill-fated spell.

He is now with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad, but report he𒐪 has had contact with Wolves and wants to go back to Molineux.

And Wolves are now co♍nfident that he will be their new (old) boss within the coming days, either by the end of this week or at the start of n🐈ext.

Wolves return on the cards for Nuno

🌠Jorge Mendes is at the heart of the deal, as you might expect, and it seems that things are set to move pretty quickly.

The job was offered ꦬto Julen Lopetegui but he turned down the offer, in part due to family issues that prevented him from moving to England.

The likes of former defender Rob Edwards, ex-☂Roma𝓰 coach Eusebio Di Francesco and former Olympiacos boss Pedro Martins have been linked.

Nuno was supremely popular at his peak at Wo𝔉lves, guiding them to promotion from the Championship in 2018 and the FA Cup semi-final in 2019.

But by the en🅠d of his tenure, his football had gone stale and the feeling was that the club needed a manager to bring a more attacking blueprint.

Bruno Lage was meant to be that man but he failed to make the transition from Nuno’s back three to a back four and now the ‘very good‘ Santo could be back in town.
