Report: What sources close to Daniel Levy are now saying about the Tottenham takeover rumours

has shared what sources close to Daniel Levy are now saying about the rumours that Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) could buy a minority share of Tottenham Hotspur

broke the news on Sunday that Levy has held talks with QSI and Paris Saint-Germain chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, over a possible minority investment in the club.

The Qatar-based group are looking to buy a small share in a Premier League club at some point this year and Al-Khelaifi has spoken to Levy about the possibility of investing at Tottenham.

The outlet noted that there is ‘indisputable’ evidence that Levy has held exploratory talks with the PSG chairman over a minority investment.

Of course, Tottenham are currently denying that these discussions have taken place and sources close to Levy have offered a reason as to why he has met with Al-Khelaifi in recent weeks.

What sources close to Levy are saying about QSI meetings

reports that sources close to the Spurs chairman said he meets with Al-Khelaifi on a regular basis as the pair have been friends for years.

The pair apparently meet regularly when Al-Khelaifi is in London as Levy is a member of the European Club Association, while the PSG chairman is the head.

Tottenham have also insisted this morning that no such talks over possible investment have taken place.

It seems sensible from Tottenham’s point of view to deny talks have taken place, especially if discussions are still at such an early stage.

The move to secure investment could be a game-changer for Tottenham, if the reports are true, of course. QSI is an investment group that boast a huge amount of wealth, as can be seen from their exploits in France with PSG.

The club are going to struggle to keep up with the likes of Newcastle United, and even Manchester United and Liverpool, depending on who ends up taking over the clubs.

Tottenham will need some extra financial muscle if they are to compete at the very top level, otherwise they will end up being left behind.
