Report: What Edu has done to try and close Mudryk signing for Arsenal
Arsenal sporting director Edu reportedly flew to Poland on Friday to try and get the Mykhaylo Mudryk signing over the line.
This is according to Italian outlet , which also suggested the Gunners had made an improved offer.
Talks between Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk over Mudryk have been going on for a number of weeks now.

Over the last few days, reports covering the discussions have become increasingly positive.
On Friday, reported that a deal for Arsenal to sign Mudryk is now close to being done.
Apparently, talks are now focusing on what add-ons and extras the Gunners will pay.
Tuttomercatoweb subsequently reported on Friday afternoon that Edu travelled to Shakhtar’s base in Warsaw.
The Arsenal director ‘intends to close the sale for Mudryk’, said the report.
But despite an ‘improvement in the offer over the last couple of hours’ (as of yesterday evening), the ‘distance is still present’.
‘We are trying’
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta couldn’t help but flash a wry smile when reporters asked him about Mudryk on Friday.
when pressed on if he follows that social media activity himself, Arteta told reporters that he’s not aware of any such goings on.
“Can I answer now?,” Arteta .
“You know we cannot talk about any other player.
“There are some interests in other things we would like to do to improve the team because we are a bit short in certain areas.
“But we are trying as a club. We are determined to try and improve the team in every window.”

Surely not long now
Although Arsenal have been linked with other players this month, the Mudryk talks have dominated the rumour mill.
It’s not surprising really – Mudryk is an ‘extraordinary‘ player, he wants Arsenal, and Arsenal want (and need) him.
At the same time, Shakhtar have been trying their hardest to get the best possible deal for their star asset.
Hopefully it won’t be long before we get to the really good stuff.
When / if Fabrizio Romano delivers his ‘here we go’ message, there will no doubt be huge celebration among Arsenal fans.
Then, ‘Arsenal and Shakhtar have agreed a deal worth £XYZ for Mudryk’ and, eventually, the all-important club announcements (once again, if it all goes well – let’s not tempt fate).
