Report: West Ham willing to loan Sebastien Haller out; Hertha Berlin keen
West Ham United are listening to loan offers for Sebastien Haller this summer, .
Haller has had a mixed time since moving to the London Stadium. The Sunday People notes that he cost £45 million. But there have, so far, only been glimpses of a player worth that sort of price.
He finished his first Premier League season with seven goals to his name. It may come as little surprise to the Hammers fans that he could be on the move this summer.
However, what may surprise some is that that the Irons will listen to bids that could see Haller leave on loan.
The report notes that Hertha Berlin want to take the 26-year-old on a two-year loan.
TBR View: Loan exit could be poor piece of business from West Ham
If David Moyes is working with a modest budget this summer, a loan exit for Haller would arguably be a questionable decision.
Offloading his wages may prove beneficial. And it would be a surprise if the Hammers did not demand a substantial loan fee from any potential admirer.
But replacing him with a better striker will be much more difficult if he leaves on loan.
On the other hand, West Ham will have surely considered the task awaiting them if Haller leaves on loan. So if they are confident that they would be better off loaning him out, then perhaps they are optimistic that they can make the situation work out for them.
