Report: West Ham want Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall

West Ham United are considering joining the race to sign Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest, .

The Hammers have kept a decent defensive record so far this season. David Moyes’s men have conceded 43 goals in 33 games to sit fifth in the Premier League table.

It is suggested however, that Moyes wants another defender brought in. , Worrall is on their radar.

The report claims that the Irons are weighing up joining Norwich and Burnley in the battle to sign the 24-year-old. It is noted that Moyes is aware that Forest could sell him for a reasonable price.

Worrall has racked up a remarkable number of games in his career given his age.

And having spent the large majority of that career in the Championship, it will be interesting to see if he feels that he wants to take the step up in the coming months.

Forest, unfortunately, are going to finish this season in mid-table. And having seemingly been linked with the Premier League for a number of years now, Worrall may perhaps feel that now is the time to move on.

that he was set to cost at least £10 million.

West Ham have enjoyed a lot of success when signing Championship players in recent years. So perhaps it should be little surprise if Moyes was very tempted to try and lure him away from the City Ground.
