Report: West Ham to sell Josh Cullen to Anderlecht in deal worth around £1m

, claims a deal has been agreed with the Belgian outfit to see Cullen move to the club in move worth just shy of £1m to the Hammers.

Cullen will sign a three-year deal over in Belgium after failing to make the grade with the Hammers in terms of regular first-team minutes.

The 24-year-old has made just a handful of appearances in Claret and Blue, spending the majority of his time away from the club on various loan spells. He has played the last two seasons with Charlton, becoming a regular for the Addicks.

However, his time with the Hammers is now coming to an end and he’ll be hoping to kick on at Anderlecht and add to the two caps he has for the Republic of Ireland already.

West Ham, meanwhile, could still make moves of their own on deadline day as David Moyes looks to strengthen the ranks following a positive start to the campaign.

Good move for Cullen, he should do well over in Belgium – TBR View

No point in sticking around if you aren’t going to play so a three-year contract in Europe sounds good for Cullen to be honest.

He’s a good player but just hasn’t quite made the grade with the Hammers, nor has he really been given ample opportunities.

Hopefully, he can now kick on and cement himself in the Ireland team with some regular football. He’s still just 24, so a new beginning is definitely good for him at the moment.
