Report: West Ham struggling to find buyers for high-earning trio

West Ham United are having difficulty finding buyers for three players on their transfer list.

, the Hammers are struggling to raise funds to buy new players to shape their squad ahead of 2020/21.

Three of the club’s highest earners in Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere and Manuel Lanzini are up for sale, but the Londoners are having real trouble offloading them.

Of the three players mentioned, it’s Wilshere who brings home the highest wage. The English midfielder is the second-highest earner at the club on £100,000-a-week, while Anderson and Lanzini rake in £85,000 and £70,000-a-week respectively ().

All three underperformed last season and are seen as means of boosting the transfer kitty to get new stars in.

West Ham haven’t publicly named their price for each player, but one would imagine other clubs are simply unwilling to pay them such wages given their poor performances.

The Mail adds that the lack of interest is part of the reason why the Hammers are now willing to sell Grady Diangana, who appears to be West Bromwich Albion-bound.

TBR’s View – Cut-price deals beckon

West Ham are going to have to slash their asking prices, whatever they are, for each player if they are to have a chance of offloading any them.

It is perhaps the only way other clubs can be encouraged to make approaches.

If the transfer fee is lower, money can be saved to offer the player in the form of wages.
