Report: West Ham set to allow midfielder to rejoin old club on a free transfer
that West Ham United are set to allow Felipe Anderson to leave the Hammers on a free transfer. The Brazilian is pushing for a return to former club Lazio. The report says West Ham will let him go for nothing, but want a clause included in a deal.
Anderson, 28, has struggled at West Ham. Though he impressed in his first season following his club-record move from Lazio, Anderson flopped during 2019-20. Then, he was loaned to Porto last term. But the attacker only managed to play 10 times for the Champions League quarter-finals.
The report claims that Anderson is close to returning to former side Lazio, where he produced 73 goal involvements in 177 games for the Serie A side. However, West Ham want a clause included that sees them receive 50% of his future sell-on fee. It sees the Hammers wipe his big wages off the list.
