According to , West Ham United are interested in signing Strasbourg striker Ludovic Ajorque.

David Moyes’ side only have Michail Antonio up top at the moment and the Englishman has been brilliant. He has scored nine goals and has provided seven assists in all competitions so far and he is the undisputed first-choice at the club.

However, Antonio has had his fair share of injury issues over the years. West Ham are doing everything they can to break into the top-four, but it’s an extremely difficult task with just one recognised striker available.

As a result, they are on the market looking for options and Ajorque has reportedly caught Moyes’ eye.

West Ham United are interested in Ludovic Ajorque

Ajorque has been a star for Strasbourg in Ligue 1 this season.

The 6ft 4in tall Frenchman has scored 10 goals and has provided six assists in just 17 starts in Ligue 1 this term. That is a very impressive return for a striker, and it’s not just this season that he’s firing.

Ajorque scored 16 goals in the league last season, which goes to show that he isn’t just a one-season wonder. It is no surprise that he’s being looked at by other clubs, and a move to West Ham could really help him reach the next level.

Outscoring Messi and Ronaldo

It’s not every day that a player can put his league numbers alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and come away as the more productive player. Ajorque is in a position to do that now.

The Frenchman’s 10 league goals this season trumps Ronaldo’s eight and Messi’s one. He has even scored one goal more than PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in the Ligue 1 this term, which shows just how good he has been.

Ajorque, at 27, is entering the prime years of his career. He would be a really good option for West Ham and the fact that Antonio will take a lot of the pressure off him could really benefit him.

However, it is unclear if Strasbourg will let him leave this month or if the striker himself is willing to move to London and play second fiddle to Antonio, who will remain the first-choice for Moyes irrespective of who comes in.
