Report: West Ham midfielder Edimilson Fernandes has agreed terms ahead of his exit
West Ham midfielder Edimilson Fernandes is reportedly set to join German top-flight club Mainz.
, the Hammers ace will make the move to the Bundesliga in an £8million deal this summer.
The report details that the 23-year-old has agreed terms on the move and Mainz have moved swiftly to sign him.
It is understood that his exit will allow West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini to look elsewhere to sign a defensive midfielder.
Fernandes has spent this season out on loan with Italian club Fiorentina, where he made 33 appearances across all competitions.
The Switzerland international is a central midfielder with great energy and work-rate, but it’s not quite happened for him at the London Stadium.

The £30,000-a-week ace () showed some strong moments in midfield during his 48 first-team games for the Hammers and looks a natural fit for the physicality of the Premier League.
He’s still a relatively young player that rebuilt his confidence at Fiorentina this season and it may have been worth Pellegrini trying him out next year.
But they look ready to take the £8million for him and they did sign him for just £5million () three years ago.
