Report: West Ham leading the race to sign Brighton’s Solly March
West Ham United are reportedly leading the race to sign Solly March of Brighton.
the Hammers are primed to beat the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers to the 26-year-old.

March has been with Brighton since 2011 after coming through Lewes’ academy.
He has made 181 appearances for the Seagulls to date, with 90 of those coming in the Premier League.
Apparently West Ham have ‘taken the initiative’ over March, with talks on between the two clubs.
Brighton are supposedly open to selling March, although there is no mention in the report about how much he could cost the Irons.
TBR’s View – March a good player, but he won’t instigate shockwaves
March has been a tremendous servant to Brighton and is absolutely a Premier League-standard player.

But given West Ham’s position, his potential transfer to the London Stadium is highly unlikely to change the current mood within the fanbase.
The majority of Hammers supporters are very worried about their team’s lack of activity in the transfer window, and yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United has only increased the concerns.
£30,000-a-week star March (), as capable as he is, would not be a game-changing addition for West Ham and that is seemingly what’s required right now.
