Report: West Ham leading race for French full-back Djibril Sidibe
West Ham United are reportedly in pole position to land AS Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe.
the Londoners are currently leading the charge to sign Sidibe, who of course spent last season on loan at Everton.
The Hammers are desperate to add defensive reinforcements after losing their first two games, and Sidibe can play both right and left-back.

The 2018 World Cup winner had an indifferent season at Goodison Park in 2019/20 that resulted in the Toffees opting not to sign him permanently.
Also in the hunt for Sidibe are Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, although the latter have just landed Ki-Jana Hoever and are surely an unlikely destination.
90min say Monaco are prepared to let Sidibe head out on loan again in 2020/21, but only if an option-to-buy can be inserted for whichever suitor.
TBR’s View – Sidibe can be a decent West Ham addition
With funds tight, Sidibe might not be such a bad option for West Ham.

He did not really pull up trees in his 25 top-flight appearances for Everton, but did show glimpses of quality.
The fact he can play on both sides of the pitch is a major plus, as right-back and left-back are two areas of the pitch West Ham need to reinforce.
