Report: West Ham join race for ‘monster’ Euro 2020 star; two title-winning sides are also keen
West Ham United are reportedly one of many clubs interested in AS Roma keeper and Sweden star Robin Olsen.
, the Hammers will compete against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Lille and Real Sociedad for the 31-year-old shot-stopper. Olsen was one of Sweden’s best players in this summer’s Euros.

As , the Spanish media labelled the former Copenhagen star as a ‘monster’ based on his performance against La Roja in their opening group stage game of the competition.
And his performances for Sweden have attracted plenty of interest, with West Ham set to go toe-to-toe with two title-winning sides from last season for Olsen.
Indeed, West Ham are in the market for a new goalkeeper in the long term. Whilst Lukasz Fabianski impressed for the Hammers last season, the Polish international tuned 36 in April.

With the Hammers also competing in Europe next season, a quality backup keeper could be a welcome addition this summer. And with Roma looking to sell Olsen, the 31-year-old might be an exceptional European option for the east London side.
Fabianski could retain the number one spot if West Ham do sign Olsen. However, the Swedish international will offer the Polish keeper a chance to fight for his position in the first XI as well as provide David Moyes with a solid option should the veteran keeper ever be ruled out for a match.
