Report: West Ham enter talks to sign ‘incredible’ attacker this summer, he’s available for £17m

West Ham United are now in talks to sign Mexico international forward Hirving Lozano from Napoli this summer.

A report by Italian outlet claims that David Moyes is considering Lozano as he looks to add quality and depth to his frontline this summer.

The report says there have been concrete discussions between the two clubs with more planned in the days ahead.

They also claim that Napoli would be willing to sell Lozano this summer for a fee in the region of £17 million.

West Ham enter talks with Lozano

Lozano is still just 26 years old and that should mean that he has his best years ahead of him.

That is despite the fact his move to Napoli has not quite gone to plan, which is reflected in their willingness to let him leave this summer.

Moyes still needs someone who can offer cover and competition for Michail Antonio, and seems set on someone who can also play out wide.

Gennaro Gattuso described Lozano as ‘‘ and he has pace and energy to burn, which is what Moyes will look for in his new recruits.

He burst to the wider consciousness at the 2018 World Cup but perhaps he is still waiting to take the next step and fully realise his potential.

£17 million would be a good price if he can show the form which lit up that summer showpiece, but West Ham have been linked with a lot of forwards since they last signed one.

That means we will have to wait and see how the situation plays out and how the talks progress.
