Report: West Ham enquired about Barcelona defender Junior Firpo
West Ham United have reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing Barcelona full-back Junior Firpo.
the 24-year-old is on David Moyes’ radar, as well that of Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves.
Barca are said to value Firpo at around £18 million, and would prefer to offload permanently rather than loan out.

The player was linked with a loan move to Inter Milan recently, but that seems unlikely on the basis of Sport’s information.
Firpo has been with Barca since the summer of 2019, after transferring from Real Betis.
He’s made just 30 appearances though including only seven so far this season.
That’s down to a mixture of injury problems and also Jordi Alba still being in favour at the Nou Camp, despite the Spaniard’s years now advancing.
West Ham’s interest comes amid a defensive shortage, with Arthur Masuaku recovering from a recent surgery.
TBR’s View – Firpo could be great addition
With Moyes often going with a system that uses wing-backs, Firpo could be a brilliant fit at the London Stadium.

Quite often Firpo plays as a left-winger, meaning left wing-back could really suit him.
£18 million may seem a lot, but he is still only 24 and West Ham need to strengthen a position they haven’t touched since 2016 which is when Masuaku arrived.
