Report: West Ham close to Nikola Vlasic deal; will pay £25.8m
West Ham are set to sign Nikola Vlasic in a deal that seemingly looks set to cost the Hammers an initial £25.8 million, .
The Irons appear to be looking to end a quiet window on a high. Kurt Zouma has arrived to strengthen their defence.

And it would now appear that David Moyes is about to make a signing further up the field also.
According to the Guardian, West Ham are close to signing Vlasic. It is suggested that the deal will cost £25.8 million.

that the move will also include around £6.9 million in add-ons. Admittedly, it is not entirely clear whether that is on top of £25.8 million or included in that price.
Vlasic has been outstanding since leaving Everton for CSKA Moscow. He has scored 33 goals and contributed 21 assists in all competitions.
The Guardian notes that Moyes believes that Vlasic is ready for another shot in the Premier League. And the club have deemed that signing Vlasic represents better value than paying £25 million for Jesse Lingard.
The report comes after the Sunday Mirror suggested that West Ham were set to make a £15 million bid for Lingard.
So it will be interesting to see whether a move for Vlasic will indeed end their pursuit of Lingard.
Could West Ham replicate success of Coufal and Soucek moves with Nikola Vlasic?
It may be deemed by many to be a gamble. West Ham are set to pay a lot of money to sign the 23-year-old Croatia international.
However, the Hammers have enjoyed real success when signing players in recent years from leagues with a lower profile.
Both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have proved to be outstanding signings for the Irons after arriving from the Czech Republic.
And that should leave West Ham fans feeling optimistic that a deal for Vlasic could also prove to be a masterstroke in the years to come.
