Report: West Ham boss David Moyes a fan of Aleksandar Mitrovic

West Ham may be weighing up a summer move for Aleksandar Mitrovic, that David Moyes is an admirer of the Fulham striker.

Mitrovic is one of a number of players facing an uncertain future at Craven Cottage. The Serbia international was unable to help Scott Parker’s men beat the drop in the Premier League.

Unfortunately, it proved to be a disappointing campaign for Mitrovic personally. He has scored just three times in 27 league games for the Cottagers.

Despite those struggles, it would be no surprise if he attracts bids this summer. And perhaps West Ham may be one of those who make a move.

That is because that Moyes is an admirer of the forward as they discuss all of the Fulham players who could be on the move with relegation confirmed.

West Ham certainly need to bolster their striker ranks in the coming months. They have done a remarkable job given their lack of depth up front.

But any links with Mitrovic – who cost Fulham around £27 million, – may not go down too well amongst some of the Hammers supporters. He has proved to be a divisive character throughout his career.

Some will be against a move. His record this season is poor. And his attitude has been called into question at certain stages.

But Moyes has turned converting underwhelming signings into amazing performers into an art form during his time with West Ham.

And Mitrovic scored 37 league goals across the previous two campaigns – and that included one year in the Premier League. So there is certainly a decent goalscorer in there somewhere.
