Report: West Ham and Arsenal looking to sign Jesper Lindstrom

that both West Ham United and Arsenal are both interested in signing Brondby talent Jesper Lindstrom this summer, with the attacking midfielder shining for the Danish club during 2020-21.

Lindstrom, a one-time Denmark international, has been sensational for Brondby this season despite being just 21 years of age. He has scored nine goals and created nine more in assists during just 22 league games, earning a senior Denmark cap.

The youngster now has 58 senior appearances for the side he came through the academy with, boasting stats of 14 goals and 13 assists – of course, the majority has come this season. His 2020-21 form has seen Premier League clubs come calling.

The report claims Arsenal and West Ham are keeping a close eye on Lindstrom, and that he will cost a lot more than £5million. German club RB Leipzig, who are notorious for scouting young European talent, are also interested.

TBR’s view – Lindstrom stats are very exciting

He has enormous potential and his career is certainly not destined to remain in Danish football. A move to one of Europe’s biggest five leagues should come about this summer, with Lindstrom likely to have double digits in both goals and assists.

At Arsenal, he could be the ideal cover for Emile Smith-Rowe and Martin Odegaard – but his chances of regular first-team football is unlikely. If West Ham sell Manuel Lanzini, then a move to the London Stadium would really benefit Lindstrom.

Indeed, the Hammers are beginning to use the lesser European leagues as a pool. Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal were signed from Slavia Prague, while Frederik Alves joined from Silkeborg. West Ham is a better move for Lindstrom, than Arsenal.
